UAV Development
We are developing an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) call RhinoGuard for wildlife conservation purposes.
Specifically, we are trying to address the Rhino poaching problem, and have designed RhinoGuard to match the mission criteria needed to be able to help protect the Rhino.
Mission Criteria
Rhino range widely, which means the UAV must be able to fly long distances/stay aloft for long periods at a time.
Poaching takes place day and night, so the UAV needs to have day and night vision.
Immediate action needs to be taken, since the poachers act very fast, so realtime communication needs to be maintained with the UAV
The system must field-ready. ie. Robust, easy to use and portable.
